The Yellow Bird (2001)

Alma Tutwiler is the daughter of Rev. Increase Tutwiler, a fire and brimstone preacher in the South in the 1950's. One day, while she's waiting to play the church organ, a yellow bird flies in, and she suddenly snaps and becomes shockingly liberated.
